EAMCET 2009 Eligibility Criteria
EAMCET 2009 Eligibility Criteria – New proposal to ensure only Intermediate second year students to apply for the entrance test.
The Department of Technical Education in Andhra Pradesh, is considering a proposal to prevent first year intermediate students appearing for EAMCET. It is a common practice that students who are in their first year of Intermediate do appear for the EAMCET entrance examination to get a feel of the real exam and also to see how they perform one before their exam.
As per the proposal, students applying for EAMCET will have to attach a photo copy of their Intermediate second year Hall Ticket. This proposal, if approved will prevent the first year students in taking the test as a practice for the real exam.
Earlier, the authorities announced that the Intermediate (10+2) score will carry 25% weightage in Engineering and Medical admissions from EAMCET 2009 onwards. As per this rule, the 600 marks of the group subjects (Maths/Biology, Physics, Chemistry – including practicals) will have 25% weightage in EAMCET 2009.
